Central City has a lot to offer, and trying to fit it all in can prove to be a bit hectic. If you need time to recharge your batteries with a bit of quiet time before you go out again to enjoy yourself, the Hooper Homestead Guest Quarters is the ideal place to stay.
Quiet Lodging in Central City
The Hooper Homestead Guest Quarters is an ideal haven when you need a relaxing spot to retreat to after a day spent exploring the surrounding areas and enjoying all of the activities available in the historic gold mining city. The location is close enough so that it’s easy to get to the museums, casinos and even the riding stables, but far enough away so that you feel that you have escaped the sometimes frenetic atmosphere of other fun seekers.
After a day spent learning about the ghosts that haunt the city, the cozy rooms exude an aura of a soothing nature, and for real relaxation they also offer spa treatments. It’s a good idea to discuss the arrangements when you book because the spa is so popular that they may not be able to fit you in, but you can always reserve services a week in advance.
My advice would be to take advantage of the opportunity to enjoy the pampering by reserving a time when you book your stay. It’s hard to describe how much I enjoyed the hot stones massage after a beautiful day of horse back riding at the nearby stables.
The Blissful Spirit Spa offers retreats that can be scheduled for either small groups or individuals, and many of the people who participate choose to stay at the Hooper Homestead, so it’s important that you don’t put off making a reservation as soon as you know that you will need peaceful lodging in Central City.
The rooms and suites at the Hooper Homestead Guest Quarters are beautiful and offer so much more than you would expect to find at a bed and breakfast. The Coeur d’Alene Suite has two bedrooms with queen sized beds, living and dining areas and a kitchen area. The suite has a private entry with patio furniture and a gas grill.
The Hidden Treasure Suite has a single queen size bedroom with a private bath. A dining/living area and a mini kitchen give all of the space a couple could want, and it is decorated with an eye to privacy and romance.
If you don’t need all of the features of a suite, the best thing would be to reserve the Bonanza Room. The Victorian decorated guestroom has a queen size bed and is decorated with custom built wood furniture and made cozy with handmade quilts.
The continental breakfast offers homemade scones, croissants, breads and muffins served with fresh fruit in season, cheese, yogurt and cereals. They will even cater to special dietary needs if you let them know about these needs in advance. And don’t worry about missing your morning meal if you like to sleep late. It’s delivered to you the night before.
